Remote Ranches & Homesteads: These locations serve foods typical of the area. They are healthy and delicious and are prepared with products raised and cultivated by the locals. All of the produce comes from their orchards, gardens and greenhouses. Our guests will get to experience what life is like away from the commercial grocers and experience what it is like to “live off the produce of the land”.

The process of getting food from the Earth to the table is arduous and takes a lot of dedication, but it is done with a lot of love and corresponds to all of the hygiene rules and standards (these are certified by Sernatur, the Chilean national tourism service).

Meals encountered on these homesteads might include: poultry casseroles with salads from the garden, oven roasted lamb with freshly harvested potatoes, breads kneaded and baked in wood- fired ovens, or homemade pasta with different sauces and herbs from the garden.

RESTAURANTS: When there is the option to have dinner in a restaurant, the variety is expanded. There are good restaurants in the Futaleufu area, with a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes… and of course, Chilean wines.

SPECIAL DIETS: Guests with special diets can be accommodated on our trips in all locations, whether they be rural homesteads or restaurants. We can accommodate, diets like: vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, gluten free, etc. However, because of the remoteness of our locations all special dietary requirements should be communicated to us well in advance of your trip date and be as specific as possible. This will allow us the time to make the necessary arrangements.

All of the places in which we serve guests, both in accommodation and food, comply with all the sanitary standards required by the Ministry of Health (MINSAL) and the Ministry of Tourism (SERNATUR). This is a requirement of Chilean law and all establishments must pass inspections before they can operate. This includes rural homesteads.

As a company, we place a special emphasis on the hygiene of all the lodgings and restaurants with which we work. Avoiding illnesses, especially on remote trips, is imperative.
